The Five Points Art Gallery + Studios project embodies the power of transformation, taking a former funeral home and converting it into a vibrant, multi-use arts and residential hub. DREAM Builders is honored to have lead the architectural effort to reimagine this building as a place for creation, community, and living.

At its heart, this project envisions a building that supports artists, visitors, and residents alike. The existing structure was renovated to include artist studios, gallery space, apartments and a commercial kitchen. 

We begin with analysis and base drawing of the existing conditions, then flowed into documenting the full renovation scope for all levels. Our design work included schematic layouts for key interventions—the commercial kitchen, ADA restrooms, accessible entry, and gallery spaces. We conducted a full code and egress analysis (especially critical given the mixed-use nature and second-floor units), ensuring the renovation met the most rigorous safety, usability, and life-safety standards. 

This project was more than a restoration; it was about giving new life to a structure with cultural resonance, enabling art to flourish side by side with community living. The Five Points Art Gallery + Studios is a place where creativity lives, where neighbors engage, and where art becomes an integral part of daily life.
